Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 6, 2026

Opsnook is a macOS utility that displays and monitors coding-assistant sessions stored locally on your Mac. This policy explains how Opsnook handles your data.

Data We Collect

Opsnook does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.The app contains no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, and no crash-reporting services. The developer receives no information about you or your usage.

Local Data Access

Opsnook reads coding-assistant session files (for example under ~/.claude,~/.codex, ~/.gemini, and similar directories) only after you explicitly grant access to those folders through the macOS file-access dialog. All of this data:

  • is read directly from your Mac and processed entirely on-device;
  • is never uploaded, transmitted, or sent to the developer or any third party;
  • never leaves your computer.

Network Access

Opsnook does not connect to any developer-operated server. The only network activity that can occur is when you explicitly trigger a Git push in the workspace feature — that action sends your changes to your own Git remote, using your own credentials. Opsnook does not upload any session data, and the developer has no access to it.

Third Parties

Opsnook does not use any third-party SDKs that collect data, and does not share data with any third party.

Children's Privacy

Opsnook is a developer tool and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone.
